Nazirber Maduro

Nazirber Maduro is a bilingual dietitian and diabetes educator. She has a nutrition company called Naz Maduro Nutrition, a private practice in NYC, Florida and Texas that teaches people how to use food as medicine through individualized nutritional counseling. She has been a diabetes educator for more than five years and has worked with both pharmaceutical companies and in clinics around NYC with patients with Type 1, Type 2, and gestational diabetes.

Nazirber Maduro is the founder and registered dietitian at Naz Maduro Nutrition. She is also a native Spanish speaker with 7+ years of experience working as a Registered Dietitian with immigrant families in NYC. Nazirber has long been interested in nutrition and the role it plays in managing chronic diseases and weight management.

Nazirber's training includes dietary management for metabolic health, diabetes, and integrative medicine. Upon completing her B.S. in Nutrition from Lehman College, she went on to finish her dietetic residency at Wellness Workdays, a worksite wellness company that offers employee wellness workshops and programs for employees. Once she became a board-certified Registered Dietitian, she completed additional training in integrative medicine at The Institute for Family Health and became a board-certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.

After the 2019 pandemic shutdown, Nazirber founded Naz Maduro Nutrition, a multicultural and multilingual, insurance-based nutrition practice that focuses on providing culturally driven medical nutrition therapy to individuals and families in New York City.

In addition to caring for her patients, Nazirber enjoys speaking at conferences about nutrition and the importance of delivering nutrition messages that are scientifically backed and culturally appropriate for all.
